What do you have?

Have you ever looked at someone who has a need and felt like you didn't have anything to help them? It would be easy to pass by a great opportunity because we fill like we don't have anything of value. That wasn't the case with Peter and John and it's not the case with us either. Peter and John came across a lame beggar in Acts 3 and Peter did something remarkable! He said, "I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!" What a bold statement!

Peter recognized that he didn't have the financial resources to help this man, but he had something much greater! What did Peter have to offer? Was it power? Not really. Peter didn't have the power to heal on his own. So what did he have? Jesus! Peter had a relationship with Jesus and he had faith that Jesus could make this man well. Peter also knew that If Jesus made this man well then he would be able to work and his physical needs would be met.

You may not be rich, but if you have a relationship with Jesus then you are rich beyond measure! The most important thing you can do with your life is introduce other to Jesus. When a person places their faith in Jesus they learn to rely on him to supply their every need.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19
